AMAREN (which means “of the mother” in the Basque language), is Juan Luis Cañas’s tribute to his mother Ángeles; she devoted her life to these vines and set up BODEGAS LUIS CAÑAS alongside her husband Luis. Jon Cañas is continuing a long family lineage devoted to vines and wine. He runs the technical side of the winery, etching his young, perfectionist, nonconformist and groundbreaking character on their wines.
