Underwater wine cellar in Plentzia
Savour the results of wine aged at sea in the first artificial reef- underwater winery in the world. Wines aged and treasured under the sea to offer you a unique experience that only the magic of the sea can provide.
20 metres down, in the stunning setting of the bay of Plentzia, a group of experts and enthusiasts of wine and sea age the finest wines from the Basque Country and other denominations.
Find out about this original project, named “Crusoe Treasure”, sail in the bay, see with your own eyes the sea bed and the wine cellar in underwater images and enjoy a tasting of “underwater wine” accompanied by succulent Basque tapas.
The experience includes:
- Presentation of the “Crusoe Treasure” project in the company’s premises and a look at the cellar using an audio-visual system.
- Boat trip in Plentzia bay to the site of the underwater winery.
- Guided tasting of a bottle of wine from the underwater winery and tasting of Basque tapas
